Tennis Rules

Proper tennis attire must always be worn on all courts. No bathing suits, shirtless play, or running shoes. Only smooth-soled tennis shoes are allowed on the clay courts and only non-marking shoes on the hard courts.
Clay courts and lines must be swept upon completion of play. Hang equipment on the side fences or between courts on the back fences.
The tennis pro has the exclusive right to give lessons for a fee on Club courts.
There is a two-set or one-and-a-half-hour limit when others are waiting to play. If a set goes to 6-6, a tiebreaker should be played. When practicing without playing sets, play should be limited to one hour. The sign-up board between the courts will help to control court use. A dry-erase marker will be available beneath the board. If players arrive and all the courts are in use, they should enter their names and their arrival time on this board in numerical order. A minimum of 2 players must be present for the sign-up. When previous players' court time is up, waiting players will follow the white board in order of arrival times and move to the first open court.
When nets are down, courts cannot be played on without consulting the tennis pro.
Guest fee of $5.00 per person must be paid for each guest. Local guests (residing within 35 miles of the Club) may be invited only once per month.
Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult (at least 18 years old) while using the tennis courts.
Tennis ball machines are to be used on the hard courts only.
